The surviving source chain
The most important issue is not the description itself but how the story reached the public.
The widely circulated version appeared on Sott.net, which attributed it to an article by Michael Cohen at All News Web, a website that specialised in UFO and paranormal stories during the late 2000s. This creates a narrow source chain:
- An online UFO-oriented publication.
