How credible are Ecuador’s military witnesses?

Military status alone neither proves nor disproves an extraordinary claim.

Several factors increase the value of these reports:

  • trained observers are generally familiar with aircraft, navigation lights and military operations;
  • some incidents reportedly involved multiple witnesses rather than isolated individuals;
