Introduction

The account is notable because the reported movement is the feature that made it unusual to the observers. However, the available record does not include aircraft tracking data, independent video analysis, measurements of distance or speed, or confirmation from aviation authorities. A stationary or distant object can sometimes appear to change position dramatically because of viewing angle, while ordinary aircraft manoeuvres can be difficult to interpret from the ground, particularly at night.

Why Cities Create More UFO Reports
