According to the report, a source who had worked around the weapons complex stepped outside during a televised Canada-USSR sporting event in late summer 1973 and noticed an unusual green circular light above the western portion of the range.

These limitations are important. Without knowing the object’s range, almost every physical property—including its true size, speed and altitude—becomes impossible to calculate reliably.
