Introduction
Tunisia does not display a dense network of recognised UFO hotspots. Northern Tunisia sits beneath busy international flight routes connecting Europe with North Africa, the Middle East and sub-Saharan Africa. Aircraft approaching or departing Tunis-Carthage Airport, together with long-haul flights crossing the Mediterranean, provide a steady stream of trained observers who routinely scan the sky.
The country’s most substantial historical case illustrates this pattern. Northern Tunisia’s busy airspace creates several factors that increase reporting frequency:
